When in the midst of …

Continual, “no end in sight” stressful circumstances, how does one hold on to faith that the promises God has made will come true for us?

That is a question I am deeply entrenched in living out right now.  And I find my faith wavers.  At moments, I believe in God’s promises of a future of prosper and good things.  At other moments, I cannot see the end in sight of my struggles and I feel so alone!  Those moments challenge my faith the most.

Day 3 – 3 things…

Today, I am grateful for the following things:

1. My Dad, who always helps me with my house projects. He installed a fence panel on the side of my house to hide my 3 – garbage, recycling and yard debris – cans.  And then he installed a new decorative heater vent in my bedroom – required drilling above his head and shoulders to accomplish.

2. I am grateful I bought a debt protection policy on one of my credit cards, because today I got the letter that it paid off my outstanding balance due to my medical LOA and lack of full-time income this month of July.

3. I am grateful for my rehab therapist, who has worked me hard for the past month, and who measured me and my hip movements today so she could give an update to my surgeon. And the one number I remember my surgeon wanted to see me get to was 120 degrees for flexion – pulling my knee to my chest while lying on my back.  I am at 127 degrees as of today!!  I see my surgeon on Friday!  He will be pleased, as I was today!

A lot of big things to be grateful for on Day 3!  PRAISE GOD!!!

Day 2 – 3 things…

Today’s 3 things I am grateful for…

1. That it cooled off enough at night from the 95+ degree weather so I could sleep.

2. That I no longer need to use the crutch to walk from my hip surgery.  I am strong enough to walk on my own again!!  Praise the Lord!

3.  My puppies who love me unconditionally and are my joy each day.

Blogging response…

I was challenged to answer a lot of questions about blogging and my motivation for doing so in the post linked here

I’d like to address each question point-by-point.

If you’re a blogger, what motivates you in your blogging? I had initially wanted to start a blog to keep a journal of my upcoming mission trip to Haiti in November. But as I started it 2 weeks ago now, it has blossomed into a daily habit that I thoroughly enjoy. I really look forward to each new daily posts.
